“Although, since truth is treason in this empire of lies in which we live, that’s not a fitting name for that rag, either.”

    Ouch–nice Ron Paul quote.

oooh… I bet Barr’s campaign doesn’t like the fact that the truth-telling site is getting more hits than his or his bought-and-paid-for propaganda mill.

    Treason.

Although, since truth is treason in this empire of lies in which we live, that’s not a fitting name for that rag, either.

How do you pronounce that? tee-reason or treason? Just curious.

Well, I think nader has got it down pat. Raising money and careful spending. This year if different because he is not being forced to spend on court challenges, etc. And he has been able to get get on 45, 46 state ballots. It is sort of amazing to me, that no matter how much he is vilified by the MSM and the Democrats, Nader’s “counter-narrative” still really resonates with a lot of people. That’s a good thing.

So, I guess my ranking of efficiency and success in fundraising and using funds would be:

    Nader
    Baldwin
Barr (even though Barr has technically raised more, his campaign has struggled to get on ballots and get much grassroot attention. Baldwin seems to be getting more bang for his meager bucks?)

The proof will be in votes on Nov 4. Dollars raised/spent per vote.

How do the candidates stand on net funds after administrative overhead and fund raising salaries and commissions?

    FEC.gov

    I know you know this

Thomas Sipos said that. I quoted him, although I do agree.

That is correct, but there are two levels of wise spending. First you have to wisely spend on fund raising so that you have some net funds for campaigning. \

    FEC has expenditure reports.

What’s your opinion of relative effectiveness of how the campaigns spend their money?

“BTW I was not able to find McKinney numbers for August at FEC.”
    Maybe she didn’t raise any.

Didn’t you get the memo from tReason? No one cares about Snubgate.

I got something from them, but my eyes were tearing up from the gas grenades and I couldn’t make it out.

I would assume so. Nader has built his political advocacy mostly on public funds, including mandatory student fees at numerous colleges.

  16. richardwinger September 21, 2008

I assume the Nader money includes the public funds, right?

  17. paulie cannoli Post author | September 21, 2008

I think he will have a definite improvement in fundraising post-snubgate, but that’s just a guess.

Anyone know how “Buck for Chuck” turned out?

  18. G.E. September 21, 2008

Huckabee was also completely unable to raise any money.
