National Taxpayers Union likes Barr spending plan

There were many online reports Friday regarding Libertarian Bob Barr’s failure to win a slot in the Oxford, Mississippi, presidential debate, but once such piece, run by CQ Politics, says there was “some good news for Barr this week. The National Taxpayers Union put out an analysis of each presidential candidate’s spending agenda and found that Barr would actually cut spending by about $200 billion while both McCain and Obama would increase it.”

There was also a report on Barr’s prospects in Idaho in USA Today this week, and the upcoming issue of Atlanta Magazine has a 5,300-word profile of the former Georgia congressman.
