BTP National Committee unanimously condemns “stimulus”, Fed

A press release from the Boston Tea Party:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Boston Tea Party National Committee passes unanimous resolutions against the “stimulus” & FED

February 16, 2009
The Boston Tea Party national Committee unanimously passed two resolutions on Monday. Both resolutions speak to specific bills, one of which just became law, opposing the “stimulus” and the Federal Reserve. “Both of these resolutions speak to the core values of smaller government and reducing the size scope and power of the government,” stated Darryl W. Perry, BTP At-Large Rep., “We MUST continue fighting the ever expanding federal government!”

The resolution against the “Obama stimulus” states:

“WHEREAS The key to fixing our economic crisis is to get money out of the wasteful hands of the government and back into the pockets of the American people, and

WHEREAS the “stimulus bill” increases government spending, and

WHEREAS the vast majority of the spending in this bill isn’t being directed to taxpayers

BE IT RESOLVED the Boston Tea Party National Committee opposes the $850 Billion, 1588 page “Stimulus” package”.

The other resolution supports abolishing the Federal Reserve states:

“BE IT RESOLVED that the Boston Tea Party National Committee supports HR 833 the “Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act.””

HR 833 is the bill sponsored by Dr. Ron Paul and is the same bill that was known as HR 2755 during the 110th Congress. Party Chair Doug Gaking said, “The bill appears to be a step strictly in the direction of smaller government. Can anyone think of a reason not to support it?”

The Boston Tea Party was founded in 2006 with a platform that “supports reducing the size, scope and power of government at all levels and on all issues, and opposes increasing the size, scope and power of government at any level, for any purpose.” The party conducts business online at www.bostontea.us.

Sincerely,
Darryl W. Perry

Yes, Joseph was actually posting a lot less for a few weeks. At least a couple weeks, and there was at least over a week when he was totally gone. But I could be wrong, and this is one question that God won’t give me the answer to.

it really is like old times now, with Joseph back too.

    He left?

The Catholic Trotskyist Party strongly supports the stimulous, but is ambivolent about the fed. It at least needs reform.

it really is like old times now, with Joseph back too. I will definitely go comment on NFV at some point too, and add the point of view of freedom based on Catholic Trotskyism. But not right this minute.

    # 18 how do we get the LP to do something like that ?

I used to get post from them, the LP, and then got dropped. I’m not on enough email list to send someting to a bunch of them and don’t have time if I was.

The LP (or at least those of us within the LP) should take points like that and create our own program to address the current economic situation.

    I agree.

The LP should be calling for local and state governments to repeal, and reduce the permitting process for local businesses, especially those involved in construction.

    Great point.

Weren’t the Tates and the Labianca’s all slaughtered? There are plenty of Steves in the world. Keaton? I dunno. Must be one of those things my brother knows.

Your site didn’t kill my browser, yay. It’s usually the pages with lots of pix and embedded Youtube videos that kill it.

And I added blog to your site.

Yes, I should go dare my browser to break by visiting NFV.

I’m looking at it in several different browsers, and I’ve tried it from different computers.

No problems with any of them.

And, who knows, for old time’s sake, maybe I should drop by Keaton’s blog, LFV.

Lost Free Voice is Keaton’s blog now? I thought it was just Michelle’s. And Steve somebody. I thought Gordon, but he says it’s not him. So I don’t know who it is.

    LaBianca?

    Thanks for the coverage Fred.

I don’t think Douglass or Neil want to allow Todd’s election to stand. Doug was not able to close the poll, and possibly unaware it wouldn’t close itself. So, members continued to vote in the poll after it “should” have been closed.
