Former independent governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura has been causing a stir in the media lately. He has been on the View, FOX and Friends, and Sean Hannity’s show, among other outlets. In his usual outspoken style, Ventura has been calling for the prosecution of officials involved with torture. Ventura himself was actually waterboarded during his Navy Seals training, as he speaks about in the FOX and Friends clips below.“The Body vs. Hannity”Jesse Ventura on the View
Jesse Ventura on Larry King Live, Part 1

RossLevin, Ventura has already beat Republicans and Democrats, twice.
FDR, a personal hero, obviously flawed, was reportedly playing solitaire in the white house all day on Sunday, December 7th. The local civil defense noticed [Japanese mini subs] disturbances in the water all week end. The Japanese assault was word for word, action for action, the mimic of a 1939 U. S. Navy war game simulation.
What a strange world we inhabit!
JT, no, I’m ok with it. McFarland also thought Pearl Harbor smelled fishy & so do I. Pretty lucky no US carriers were at Pearl on Dec. 7, huh?
If we start electing Greens & Libertarians now, we could be rid of most of the dems & reps with the election of 2012. The Progressive Libertarian Alliance candidate + coattails could win & have majority in Congress. + state governors & legislatures. We must prove the strategy can work asap though.
“Ventura was polling 27%…and not even a candidate…
When is next statewide election in Minnesota?”
Minnesota’s next statewide election is in 2010. The next time a U.S. Senate seat will be up is 2012.
He has great common sense, straightforward, and he inspires a sense of command and authority that you only see in Hollywood lately.
Love him.
Ventura should not run on a national level. He would lose for sure.
Milnes: “If not for him I might not have come out but rather kept that to myself…”
You should have.
Vs. Robert “Party of One” Milnes?
Hello, pot? Kettle calling…
No Cigar Steve Gordon & Ronulan Paulnuts.
RC, get with the program. I’ve stated previously in IPR comments that since my mentor, the recently deceased Dr. Robert McFarland of Boulder, Colorado, was-in effect-a Truther, that gives me the wherewithall to come out as one also. If not for him I might not have come out but rather kept that to myself precisely because of myopic views like what you stated. As for TR, he is such a powerful allusion because this is Independent (& Third Party) Political Report, spun off of Third Party Watch which was taken over by the fool Steve Gordon, Ron Paulnut & Bann Bob Barr factions. TR was the most successful third party/independent presidential run in the past 1oo years-second place 27%. Now, Jesse represents one of very few successful Independent governor runs.
These are very nice clips of Ventura.
And will someone explain why TR’s Progressive Party is such a powerful allusion? He lost, and nothing came of it, near as I can tell.
My take: Ventura has MANY great qualities. He seems to be a Truther, however…a non-starter position for a candidate.
Mister Barr and his staff was/ were repeated approached about using TR and the 1912 Bull Moose symbolism. Hey, some folks just are not smart enough to get ahead……
I remember back when Bob Barr was running. I hoped he would turn out to be a Teddy Roosevelt approximation. Not. But Jesse, he has the makins.
Also on Barbara Walter’s ‘The View’ on Tuesday, May 19th………
Jesse is always comfortable because he speaks from the gut. He is direct, and honest about who he is and makes no apologies for that.
He is extremely well read and knows about the issues, and not only understands them fully, but fully knows where he stands on them.
He makes no apologies for his stands either.
Nor should he.
Although Jesse is a great candidate and polls very favorably, I think that he would be the catalyst, if he chose to be, to start a National movement to compete on a very strong level againest the two party system.
If he wants to be part of the Revolution, at no time in our history has the opportunity been so great to do such a thing, AND at no time in our history has it been so clear that this could be very successful.
At no time in our nation has the dissatisfaction with leadership been more evident and targeted to both sides of the aisle.
Ready to step up and help us all get it done Jess?
My best,
Pam Ellison
Jesse did great work here.
It is heart breaking that he did not run for U.S. Senate.
Ventura was polling 27%…and not even a candidate…
When is next statewide election in Minnesota?
These clips are pretty enjoyable, particularly as he doesn’t get interrupted as much as a typical guest does during an interview. I do wonder if he’ll run for public office again.
Jesse is a real American. What you see is what you get.
