Legalize Marijuana Party founder profiled

Jazz News profiles Edward Forchion, a.k.a. “New Jersey Weedman”, who founded the Legalize Marijuana Party in 1998 and ran for several offices. In 2008, he “fled New Jersey in a self imposed political exile to sunny California, a state that, per the passage of the Prop. 215 Compassionate Use Act of 1996 and SB420 recognizes the legal use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.”

Forchion received 8,271 votes for New Jersey governor in 2005, and 11,593 votes for U.S. Senate a year later. His ballot access petitions for a 2008 U.S. House race were successfully challenged, and he was removed from the ballot in that race.

Warning, warning, danger, Edward Forchion, do not relocate to Sandy Ego County where the guaranteed re-elected GOP thugs work night and day to thwart federal rulings.
