In the campaign for the special election to replace the late Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy, Libertarian candidate Joe Kennedy is making waves. (Joe Kennedy is not related to Edward Kennedy, and will appear on the ballot as an independent.)
The Democratic candidate wants Kennedy included in all debates — the Republican candidate seems to be dancing around the issue.

For regular IPR readers: Yes, we’ve covered this story before. This time the news angle is that the LP blog is reporting on it.
This is bullshit, paulie. Let’s do the PLAS Experiment & win the friggin election. To hell with what the dem or rep or newspapers say.
Robert Milnes,
Your comment is a tantrum.
If you want to persuade a candidate or political group that your tactic will result in electoral victory, please find one (or 50). If there was a candidate or a political party that adopted your tactic they could send a news release to IPR and they might publish it.
Thane Eichenauer, damn right. I’ve been talking PLAS for months, years now. & paulie’s been my primary detractor, wanking while getting his ,lol jollies at my & The PLAS’s expense. & everybody else’s. Gravel/Ruwart could’ve won last year. Instead we get BARR stool & W.A.R. ZEEse didn’t try it. He fell into an endorsement by both parties that probably confused the voters more than helped them vote with coordination. One or two candidates endorsing isn’t enough. A few activists isn’t enough. BOTH parties is a good start. Most candidates have got to endorse it & ACTIVELY campaign on it thereby educating the voters. The 4 special elections coming up have presented a great opportunity to try it. It is simplified. We can know pretty well if it will work by Feb 3. after the last election on Feb 2. Starting in GA on Jan 5 Libertarian, then CA Jan 5 Green, then MA Libertarian Jan 19. But we have got to get moving on this. Educating the voters is not a quick & easy thing. & we have the Holidays. Starting immediately we need to send contributions & we need the candiodates & parties to endorse. Then we need every activist possible to go to either CA or GA then MA & then MO. Knock on doors & educate the voters there. Then on election day stand outside polling places with signs & literature. A one page brief bold letter leaflet would be best. ” Vote for the Lib.Green here in exchange for vote for Lib/Green there” etc. The voters will respond if we get the message to them. Let’s get with it!
Jan 12 Ca Green for State Assembly District 72 in/near Orange County next county over from LA. Can’t complain about the winter weather there!
We need the “Special Advantage” of GOTV. Both progressive & libertarian activists Get Out The progressive & libertarian Vote. Usually there is suppressed voting in special elections. That can offset the usual suppressed libertarian & progressive vote.
LOL, no.
Ew…gross…no. I may be a pervert, but that’s just sick 🙂
lp.org has already posted about this. Libertarian Taylor Bryant special election on Jan 5 for Georgia State Senate District 22. There are 3 dems, this Lib. & no other candidates. A majority would be possible here with GOTV. http://www.bryantforaugusta.com/
Then the Green Jane Rands for CA State Assembly District 72. January 12. http://www.janerandsforassembly.com
Next Joe Kennedy Libertarian for U.S. Senate in MA on January 19. No progressive or Green on ballot. I personally am willing to go to MA & campaign there. I need volunteers & donations. Go to my websites for that. Last, MO on February 2 Libertarian.

Mass. voters.
It is your chance and obligation, as I see it, to fire another shot to be heard around the world again. Please, for all Americans, vote and get out the vote for Scott Brown. Stop this out of control one party government. Our future and that of our kids is in jeopardy. Be a hero. Vote tomorrow. God bless.
“Stop this out of control one party government. ”
Stop the out of control one-party-masquerading-as-two government.
Until you do, nothing changes for the better, only for the worse.
