The February 18 issue of The Hill has this short interview with Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh, who is leaving the Senate after his term expires at the end of this year. Bayh seems to think there could be a strong independent presidential candidate in 2012.

“Maybe Bayh could be that strong independent candidate.”
Let’s hope not!
Instead, there is independent Timothy Lee Frye running for that seat.
Former Rep. John Hostettler is running for the U.S. Senate seat that Bayh is retiring from. Hostettler has had some involvement with the Constitution Party, but is running as a Republican.

Maybe Bayh could be that strong independent candidate.
The entire Bayh family:
always part of the problem
never part of the solution!
