Julian Assange’s organization will received free hosting and bandwidth from a Swedish political party that advocates copyright reform and abolishing the patent system.

Sweden’s Pirate Party has agreed to host several new servers of WikiLeaks, an international group denounced by the U.S. government for publishing tens of thousands of military documents related to the Afghanistan War.

The political party, known for its fight to reform laws governing copyright and patents, announced Tuesday that an agreement was reached during a recent visit to Stockholm by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Under the deal, the Pirate Party, which also hosts the controversial site The Pirate Bay, will provide bandwidth and hosting to WikiLeaks free of charge.

“The contribution of WikiLeaks is tremendously important to the entire world,” Rick Falkvinge, leader of the party said in a statement. “We desire to contribute to any effort that increases transparency and accountability of power in the world.”

    Kimboowee, Hi-Jack!
OK, losers. I ordered a 13 watt portable (folds into a briefcase) solar panel from heartlandamerica.com for about $100. I did the math. Basically solar panels are selling for about $75 for 15 watts. A household more or less can get by with about 300 watts. So one needs about 20 15 watt panels. I have 2 + now 1 =3. I’m setting up my inverter today & will plug in computer & tv & maybe refrigerator.
I hope to be able to buy the 50 watt Duracell Sept 1 from Lowe’s. I need about 17 more panels. So that would lower it to 14.
Anyone who would like to help me out can donate via paypal. http://www.milnes2008.freeservers.com
I’m ready to send paulie the TinyBook. But his address is unreliable as far as I am concerned. If you would like to help me barter TinyBook for solar panel donate.
I still haven’t heard from LP or GP about my proposal to hire me & Richard Winger to try to win this November. Time is passing. If you want this to happen you should contact the LP & GP asap.

The Catholic Trotskyist Party of America offers a strong alliance with the goals of the Pirate Party and WikiLiax in general.

The weather tonight here in northern California is beautiful also; we have crickets chirping too.

paulie, all you should know is that the nearest Greyhound to me is in downtown Phila. That is about a 20 minute bus trip not including the walk to the bus stop & the wait & possible mugging . + however much time & energy & cost at Greyhound/ NJ /SEPTA station. + return trip.
Whereas I walk right by the USPO every day near Walmart.

I’m pretty sure there is a greyhound station in Camden. I’ll check.

We have a weekly rate here, but might check out early depending on if the new gig works out.

paulie, I already checked + I have almost 60 years of experience living around here.
I called Mount Laurel. They do package express as does Phila. Camden does not. Camden is a stain on the map.
Mount Laurel NJ Transit/Greyhound station is hub to park a vehicle & bus daily to NYC. It is well on the way from Phila> NYC. Farther from Camden than Phila. + I’d have to go to Camden & transfer.
Sorry to be difficult. I realized most of this as soon as you mentioned Greyhound.

I tried a flashdrive in usb & it didn’t work. But you might try a flash memory card-e.g. SanDisk MobileMate. If that works several upgrades become possible. Better OS, possibly make flashdrive work, 3G, external cd-dvd drive etc.
Also if you look at heartlandamerica.com, there are several minis that are available for just @100-200$ more than TinyBook & much better. Bigger screen, more processor & memory,cd-dvd, etc.
But if you don’t mind it & all the tweaking etc TinyBook should be ok. It is just that I am spoiled. I actually wouldn’t mind a smaller, lighter laptop. To carry around. But MORE processor, better os than Windoze etc.
    +I’ve never actually used wifi.

ok. There must be other alternatives though. How about if I send it to someone you will definaitely see soon?

Don’t have anyone like that. Just a lot of people that I may or may not see I don’t know when. I will definitely see my parents and my sister, unless something happens to them or to me, but it may not be soon; I’ve gone over a year without seeing them before, and I never know how long it will be ahead of time.

I might be passing through your way, not sure when though.

They can’t forward it any faster than you can send it directly. The issue is not that my address is any kind of secret, it’s that I don’t know what it will be from one day to the next.

It’s not urgent – I’ll let you know when I know for sure where I’ll be for at least a week, or when I’m passing through down your way, whichever comes first.
