Poll: Bloomberg candidacy would aid Obama in 2012

The Hill.com  reports:

If New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) decided to wage an independent bid for president in 2012, he would end up aiding President Obama’s reelection prospects, according to a new poll out Monday.

Numbers from Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling show Bloomberg polling at 11 percent in a hypothetical three-way matchup with Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R). Obama led the way with 44 percent to Romney’s 38 percent. Another 7 percent were undecided.

Bloomberg, who flirted with an independent bid in 2008, cut into Romney’s support among independents substantially. The mayor had the support of 22 percent of independents, compared to 32 percent who went for Romney.

Interesting, Ron Paul as an Independent outpolls Bloomberg.

  2. We can’t win Prez/VP in 2012?

Everybody knows, the incumbent president has a great chance, and any independent effort is pretty much doomed to failure in the two-party system.

So is that five more years, with third parties and independents having no influence on presidential elections?

I think it’s probably more than five years at current pace.

Attempt to create a third party and independent coalition is treated with a cold shoulder.

But that could be really powerful concept, to have the Socialist, Green, Constitution, Libertarian, and various independent Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates working together.

Well guess what, that is a reality.

So don’t let your single winner district power grabbing egotistical party bosses lead you down that road, to make you believe otherwise.

Third party or independent presidential candidate need not explain about the split vote problem, they need to explain the “working together *solution*”.

We have the solution now, and it’s been in place for 15 years, with every vote cast, kept as proof.

It is “The All Party System”.
