The United States Pirate Party (USPP) has finalized the election of Party officers in an open election held July 14, 2011.
The election was delayed due to several reasons including a recent malware attack on the webservers hosting the official Party’s website (Pirate-Party.us) and the apparent absence of several former officers.
The election was in advance of a move by the USPP to dissolve the national Party and distribute Party assets to all recognized state Pirate Parties.
“On Thursday, July 14th, David Rickman was elected as USPP Promotions Officer and I was elected as Administrator. We look forward to servig the USPP well as we move forward with dissolution of the USPP,” Administrator Brad Hall wrote on the official United States Pirate Party site.
Other than that, things are going great with the USPP. We have recognized the Washington Pirate Party as a member of the USPP and are planning on moving ahead with plans to dissolve the party as it now stands soon.
Thank you for your support. Rock on.
We are having a meeting Tuesday, at 10 PM EST.
Your participation in our meetings is crucial to the success of our party, we do not want to be a select few running the whole, we love democracy, and you cannot have a true democracy with 5 people making major decisions for the entire group.
