Lemme just say this , and before i do i want to clarify that Im not trying to put down anyone ecsp since I was part of LPN ex com for many years….this is the first time , ever , that a seeking chair w/his slate has released a plan for what they will do upon election. of course it was the 1st time ever that a seeking slate had a meet and greet as well. Brett P has made alot of firsts. Im sad and THRILLED to say he has brought about the most comprehensive and professional campaign for Chair of LPN Ive ever seen in my 13 years with LPN . Say what you want , but tell me , am I lying??

You’d have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to admit this man has brought us to a whole new level. Im so proud to call him my friend.

I wholeheartedly endorse Brett Pojunis for Chairman of the LPNevada….

I read it. Looks very impressive!

There are a few typos though…I’ll fix them up if the slate wants me to.

Part of the reason I enthusiastically joined this slate is precisely because of what LG pointed out – this is the first time I’ve seen any party officer in Nevada actually run for something, instead of just quietly getting some friends in the same room and voting themselves into office. It’s quite refreshing, really, and I genuinely hope it’s the start of a beautiful pattern here.

How I do wish that you had run a positive campaign rather then that really nasty mudslinging effort that at least David has been involved with.

+1 for turning towards a positive campaign.

My question was: why the hell are you accusing Brett of something? Do you not get that this is what trolls do? Show up on line with the sole purpose of arguing? You contribute nothing anywhere to IPR, Steve M. You are a TROLL.

  6. Steve M

No denial of the fact that you know well who sent you the email that you turned into mudslinging?

No denial that David, You, Paulie have been pushing a very biased agenda in certain states?

No denial that David is listed as one of the candidates of this slate?

scratch independent from the title of this blog and it becomes political report….

With the bi-line 3rd party news…. but you don’t do fact checking so scratch news….

Jill this rag has obviously taken a stance inside the politics of the Libertarian party…

It has become a propaganda web site and you wonder why Google news won’t accept you and why Wikipedia wont except you.

When, I disagree with you and Paulie you call me a troll.

Well I call you slanted, biased and anything but an independent news site.

So if you want to be an independent news site you have to separate your news from your editorializing… and for your news you need to be more professional.

  7. Jill Pyeatt

My question was: Why did you show up here accusing Brett of something? You’re changing the subject. We’ve already talked about how you feel about IPR and me. I’m a bit baffled why you’re still here, but I’m even more baffled why the hell you’re attacking Brett out of the blue? What is wrong with you? Can you show me one thread where contributed anything positive?

    I haven’t found one.

No denial of the fact that you know well who sent you the email that you turned into mudslinging?

Just like “real” journalists, we protect anonymous sources, and there was absolutely no mudslinging. Compare the original article to several of the mainstream news articles it cites…and do any of them have a lively comment section or a follow up article stating LPN exec comm’s take? Calling it mudslinging is beyond ridiculous. No opinions at all were stated in the original story.

No denial that David, You, Paulie have been pushing a very biased agenda in certain states?

Yes, I absolutely do deny that. My personal opinions are well known, but they don’t have anything to do with the articles I publish. I reserve my opinions for the comments and try to make sure our other writers do the same. I make every effort to publish everything we get from the people I don’t agree with and even sign them up as IPR writers.

And David is one of the most level headed Libertarians in any state; ask anyone that knows him how ridiculous it is to accuse him of mudslinging.

No denial that David is listed as one of the candidates of this slate?

Why would I deny it? It’s obviously true, and one of the great advantages to this team.

scratch independent from the title of this blog

It refers to non-partisan candidates, which we also cover, and to a lesser extent parties which are independent of the duopoly or two party establishment. Why would we scratch that? And whom exactly do you think we are “dependent” on if we aren’t independent?

but you don’t do fact checking so scratch news…

We absolutely do fact checking. Most of it is by the process of having facts come out through the comment sections. When we cite someone’s else’s claims about facts we make it clear that they are being quoted; quoting someone does not mean we agree with their version of the facts. I routinely quote people and opinions I don’t agree with. In the case of the news articles we quoted, they mentioned facts such as Kurt Brackob’s conviction and prison time. We don’t have a budget to sit around and contact every person named in every news story. Even news organizations that have people making a living doing what they do frequently just rely on what other news organizations report. Much less blogs like us made up of volunteers. You are barking up the wrong tree.

this rag has obviously taken a stance inside the politics of the Libertarian party…

    Bullshit.

why Google news won’t accept you

Nothing to do with alleged bias…it’s reposting too many articles from elsewhere. Many times it’s the only thing we have time to do. I’d rather give you more stories than sit around trying to reword everything. Personally I prefer to spend my time in comments, where I can post my opinions freely, and give and take is more my thing anyway. Find someone to do it better for free, or someone to hire me to this full time, and I’ll consider doing it the other way. Until then, this is the best you’ll get for free.

    why Wikipedia wont except you.

One or two pissed off people with some unknown beef or agenda =/= wikipedia.

When, I disagree with you and Paulie you call me a troll.

    Troll is as troll does.

Well I call you slanted, biased and anything but an independent news site.

    You and who else?

separate your news from your editorializing…

    We do.

and for your news you need to be more professional.

If and when I ever make a living at it I’ll be “professional.” Until then I’m an amateur. And you’re a troll.

  9. paulie

I’m a bit baffled why you’re still here

+1. “To troll” seems to be the only plausible explanation.

    Troll is as troll does.

    Ergo, Steve M = troll.

  10. Ben Smith

BTW are you really trying to sell LPNevada.com for $1,395.00? I can’t imagine it’s worth nearly that much to anyone.

  11. Rod Stern

See your own name link. It appears they now want even more than that. Which is ridiculous. Who do they think would really pay that?
