Who better than you knows how to live your life? Certainly a scandal-ridden, incompetent government miles from your life and your problems doesn’t. Who better than you knows how you can help people? Certainly a government that has lied time and again, built structures only to leave them unused, and spends almost 1 trillion dollars more than it has every year doesn’t. Live your own life, and let others live theirs. Help other people yourself. That’s what being a Libertarian is about.

When it comes to cutting government, our candidates and elected officials are our most powerful weapon. Why? Because only they can pledge to sponsor legislation to dramatically cut government. Anyone can say, “I really, really, really hate the TSA.” But only a candidate can say, “If elected, I will sponsor legislation to eliminate the TSA, and cut taxes accordingly.”
But to use this powerful weapon most effectively, we need a lot of help.
To give those pledges to sponsor legislation to cut government the right visual impact, we need a lot of designers. Design for Liberty helps with that.
Candidates also need researchers to help determine which government agencies to cut, which laws to repeal, etc. Our Liberty Intel group helps with researching that.
And most importantly: we need candidates committed to sponsoring legislation to abolish agencies, repeal laws, and advance liberty.

The question boils down to this: Is a tragic problem in society (drunk driving) a justified reason to — USE FORCE against citizens who have not even been charged of a crime?
Is there absolutely no other cure for the tragedy, other than strapping someone down and literally forcing you to surrender a part of your body to the police?

We have a lot to be thankful for this year. We are thankful to Edward Snowden for his incredible bravery in exposing the NSA. We are thankful for the hard work of volunteers across the country who are working to bring the Drug War to an end. We are grateful to the hundreds of Libertarian candidates and elected officials that are gradually helping cut back government and advance liberty.
