Utah IAP to Turn in Last of Petition Signatures for Ballot Access

Independent American Party

(The following E-mail was forwarded to me from the Affiliations Coordinator for the IAP, Cody Quirk.)

“Hello all,

We have confirmed the time to meet the Tribune reporter at the Utah State Capitol for a picture of our party delivering the last large batch of petition signatures, which will seal the “sweet” deal, on Valentines Day, for the IAP getting on the ballot in Utah.  We will have delivered over 3,000 signatures, with 2,000 certified signatures required for ballot access.  This will allow for some rejected signatures due to incorrect or illegible information, and to achieve our goal.

Please dress up and join us (carpooling would be good) at 9:30 AM at the east end of the ground floor of the State Capitol Bldg. on Friday morning.  The Lt. Governor’s Office is on the second floor just above where we’ll meet.  The Legislature is in session, so parking is minimal.

Our appointment is at 9:45 AM.  Plan on parking being extremely limited, if not impossible to find.  It might be good to arrange for someone to drive is there and let us out, then wait and pick us up.

I work that day at LDS Hospital, so weather permitting, I plan to walk across the gully to the Capitol.

We need to get a couple of signatures and staple a few “packets” together before turning them in.

Let me know if you plan to be there.  It is very important and an historic event for the IAP, for Utah and for the nation.  We will set an example and this may be a catalyst to get things moving in a lot of directions.

See you in the “funny” paper.  ; )

Please forward to anyone you desire who may want to join us.

Jared Beck”
