Perry, Kerbel pledge the NAP; Petersen just says no

The non aggression principle, also known as the non initiation of force pledge, is the pinnacle as well as the foundation of all Libertarian thought.

All Libertarians should hold the NAP in the highest regard and it should be promoted at the highest levels of political activism.

This one principle, when applied in all areas of society, will allow for the positive advancement of the human race at speeds never before experienced. Only through voluntary actions will humanity find peace and prosperity.

Meanwhile, Austin Petersen released a video at https://www.facebook.com/ProducerPetersen/videos/vb.294291737296480/1012827442109569/?type=2&theater&notif_t=live_video titled “6 Reasons Libertarians Must Oppose the Non-aggression Principle: Top 6 Reasons to Oppose the Non Aggression Principle.” I have note yet seen this video made available outside facebook, and am not sure whether it is accessible for non-facebook users.

    As Andy Bakker explained in another article posted here recently:

    “The Han Solo story is just as incoherent. By Remso’s own admission, Greedo was threatening Han’s life. Therefore, Han’s use of deadly force was justified in self-defense and was not a violation of the NAP. Full stop.”

    Only if you believe the membership pledge signifies adherence to the NAP, as opposed to a renunciation of terrorist tactics.

    Actually, Petersen almost certainly HAS pledged the NAP — you have to do that to become a member of the LP, and he’s presumably a member of the LP.

    Of course, he’s also publicly slamming and disavowing that pledge. So whatever you might think of his position on the NAP, he appears to be a liar.
