Bill Makes November Ballot 1st Round; Unity Party in 37 States
Boulder, Colorado – 2016 Unity Party of Colorado US Senate Candidate Bill Hammons (www.billisrunning.com) has been declared by the Colorado Secretary of State as having enough signatures to appear on the Nov. 8th ballot (1,082 signatures out of 1,000 needed).
“Now that the deadline to challenge my petition is past, I look forward to making a statement this fall with my appearance as a Unity Party candidate on the General Election ballot,” says Hammons, who was not required to “amend” his petition as he was in 2014.
“We’ve already seen a resulting surge in Unity Party memberships across the country, and, at the current rate of official voter affiliations in this state, it’s highly likely that the Unity Party of Colorado will have the requisite 1,000 affiliated voters by December to make us a full-fledged party in the state, which means our candidates for Governor and other offices won’t have to petition onto the General Election ballot starting in 2018.”
