Former Yungstown Board Member and current Green Party runner-up Dario Hunter, released a statement decrying alleged favoritism within the Green Party in favor of presumptive nominee Howie Hawkins. Citing Hawkins given campaign opportunities while others could not, members of the Hawkins Campaign retaining high membership of the national party leadership, and candidates being removed from certain state primary ballots.
Hunter has also revealed him and his delegates have mounted legal challenges in 5 states and has called for a contested convention.
The Green Party National Convention will be held online from July 9th–12th, 2020.
Howie’s even criticized Gloria La Riva for wanting to do safe state strategy
Stein went more for a 50 states strategy, no fear of of hitting battleground states, which is smarter.
I mean, does Jill count as that then?

Someone who strongly prefers Democrats and doesn’t want to run Greens in places where it might lead to having Republicans elected.
It may just be my own views on ballot access but I do have issues with each state apparently having their own qualifications. Dario was officially recognized by the GP at the time he should’ve been on the ballot.
And unfortunately, that Georgia thing may take a back seat to this stuff.

I know the 2016 backstory on him and the LP. Helping Trump, personal meeting and all, then saying he was going to vote LP, but then, allegedly, actually voting Green, but NOT telling Gary Johnson that even while interviewing him on Election Day 2016. Sadly, he’s got cultists.

That said, I do have two issues with Howie.
He’s not as bad as Stein, let alone David Cobb, but he’s still kind of an AccommoGreen, if you know what I’m getting at. No. 2? I’m not sure how big of an issue it’s going to be, but if you’re familiar with one issue from the Georgia GP platform … how this plays out at convention ….

I’ve always called out the claims that I feel are more legitimate.
Like that NC Green Party having Howie be the only candidate on the ballot is screwed up, and Merida keeping her GP Position while being Hawkins campaign Manager. But they lose me when they try to use the Socialist Party endorsement stuff or or claiming he’s a war hawk.
Plus people have been using this to try to nominate Jesse Ventura who is on the record saying he wants the nom with no work
I’m probably the operson who can look at this the most objectively as I have no horse in this race. GP nominates Howie, cool. Dario, Cool. Sedinam, Cool. Rolde, ok not him but I’m cool with everyone else
Oh, if people will go to the actual video on YouTube, comments are hot and heavy there. Dario’s conspiracy theorizing and his identity politics card were both roasted by others before me.
Let’s also not forget that, on a name mentioned in the video, Howie’s campaign manager, Andrea Merida Cueller, is a minority.
Let’s REALLY not forget that Howie’s on Veep choice, Angela Walker, is African American.

At a minimum, Dario is full of crap. At a maximum, he’s been proven to have thumbs on the scales himself. Is Howie perfect?
