Consumer advocate Ralph Nader, the 1996 and 2000 Green Party presidential nominee, 2004 Reform Party presidential nominee, and 2008 Peace and Freedom Party presidential nominee, has authored at least 40 books in his lifetime including the classic Unsafe at Any Speed (1965) and the fictional Only the Super-Rich Can Save Us! (2009). Today Nader sent out the following statement about his latest fictional release The Day the Rats Vetoed Congress.
My fable about a peoples’ political revolt—now featuring illustrations by Mr. Fish!
The Day the Rats Vetoed Congress is a tale of struggle and strategy, tenacity and triumph for our troubled times. But more than just a story, it can also serve as a “how to” guide to effect political change. Gleefully and generously illustrated by famed political cartoonist Mr. Fish, pulling no punches in bringing his stunning graphic sensibilities to bear on this modern tale of vice and virtue.
The Day the Rats Vetoed Congress is both a fable of citizen action and a call to advocacy. You may just laugh yourself serious.
