Movement For A People’s Party, a group founded with the intention of translating the Bernie Sanders movement into an Independent Political Party in the vein of the People’s Party of William Jennings Bryan, will hold a convention on August 30th from 4-6 pm Eastern Time to discuss strategy for the 2022 and 2024 Elections.

My reaction to this is the same as every time someone tries to start up some new party for Bernie supporters…
Why not just join the already existing Green Party?
I have no use for Berners who
A. Think their shit don’t stink so much we need a Bernie party. (Many of them who have kicked the Green tires have been semi-insufferable if not fully so.)
B. Are so ignorant of history as to not know that Bryan was co-nominated by Democrats, AND accepted, thereby driving off many of his real Populist backers.
