Darryl Perry Suspends NH Lobbying Campaign Due to Health Concerns

Darryl Perry, the Libertarian Party’s 2020 nominee for Governor of New Hampshire, former chairman of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire, 2016 presidential candidate, and the final chairman of the Boston Tea Party, announced today he is suspending his lobbying operations for the 2021 term of New Hampshire legislature due to health concerns.

He explains:

I want to start by thanking everyone who has supported my lobbying efforts over the past four-plus years. As you may know, over the majority of the past two years I’ve been suffering from pretty severe Post-Concussion Syndrome, which has limited my ability to function at the level I had been accustomed to. And last month I spent the better part of a week in the hospital after suffering a stroke. The team of doctors and nurses who took care of me were able to identify an Atrial Septal Defect, the medical term for a hole in my heart between the atrial walls. The good news is the ASD can be fixed, however it’s going to be a couple of months before I’m evaluated for the procedure. Since the stroke, I’ve had to further limit what I do.

As such, I will be suspending operations of New Hampshire Libertas for the duration of the 2021 Legislative Session to focus on my health. I will reevaluate the situation before the start of the 2022 Legislative Session.

Darryl is a friend of IPR and we here wish him the best in his recovery.
