LNC Acts on Ballot Access

At its June 9, 2022 meeting the LNC acted on LP ballot access. It allotted up to $30,000 to the LP of Illinois for ballot access. It gave $5,000 to the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire for ballot access. It went into Executive Session with the rest of the LNC, staff, and LPNH members to discuss political strategy.

Strategy? There are now two Libertarian candidates for Governor and for Senator, and several other Libertarian candidates. The New candidates that I know of are Kelly Halldorson – Governor, Kevin Kahn – Senator, Richard Manzo – County Treasurer for Hillsborough County, Nick Sarwark – County Attorney for Hillsborough County, and Valerie Sarwark – State Representative.

Actual motions passed, the Chair abstaining:

Mr. Bowen moved that the LNC disburse funds in the amount of $15,000 to the
Libertarian Party of Illinois for ballot access use when 12,500 signatures have been
secured and an additional $15,000 upon reaching 28,750 signatures (115% of the
minimum threshold). Pass 6-0-1

Ms. Harlos moved to encumber $5,000 for New Hampshire ballot access to be released
immediately to the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire. Pass 6-0-1

WITHOUT OBJECTION, the Executive Committee went into Executive Session at 6:07 p.m.
with the rest of the LNC, staff, and members of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire
present for purposes of political strategy.
