LNC to Meet, June 5, 5PM EST

New National Chair McArdle called an LNC Meeting for June 5. To her credit, new LNC Secretary Caryn Ann Harlos is doing the needed organizational work in a timely way. You can read LNC business at at https://groups.google.com/a/lp.org/g/lnc-business

The LNC Secretary writes: I am doing something a bit different and ask that you please give it a try before objecting – if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. This meeting requires registration including by LNC members. This worked really really well with Platform Committee in preventing spam trolls, and it also gives an accurate guest list for me to contact after the meeting and thank them for attending the meeting and seeing how the national party can serve them. That is a touch that members really appreciate.

When: Jun 5, 2022 05:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Register in advance for this meeting:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

There are a series of topics.

Massachusetts — this is the Bowen-Ford motion from last year, to recognize the Cordio faction (the group seated at the National Convention) rather than the Graham faction (the group not seated at the National Convention.)  It was ruled out of order at the time, if I recall correctly, but now there are new facts at hand.

Snowden Resolution — call for full and unconditional pardon

Defend the Guard Resolution — USNG to deploy abroad only in wartime

Southern Poverty Law Center Resolution — Resolution authors do not like the SPLC

Staff report — of particular note, convention income was around $275,000. This money will be booked with the FEC report for May.

For those of us locked out of Facebook by its two factor authentication scheme, what is at that Facebook location?

Makes sense that a group of bigots would at their first meeting condemn a group that tracks and criticizes bigots.

Bob, if tracking and criticizing bigots is a needed activity then nothing the LP is capable of will impair them in the slightest. Personally, I think the SPLC is a captive victimhood lobby that advances the interests of the people that work for the organization and little else. I oppose all people and groups that feed the hunger that is class and race warfare.
