“Candidate Training to be discussed. Candidate training will be done with the Leadership institute. Cost is about $4000 plus the cost of the local facilities. The leadership institute…Training Conservatives since 1979. ”

Not to slight TLI, as I recall, we’ve used them in the past as well, as part of a larger training curriculum at conventions… But we had a training team of Libertarians for the previous round of regional training. And that included leadership training as well as candidate training.

That $4k seems awfully cheap (and not in the good sense of the word). Probably only one day, and at most two trainers (maybe not even that).

“McArdle explains that withdrawing from the event would not turn out well. LP support for the event meant that some far-left groups, e.g., Code Pink, will not support the event.” – Isn’t Medea Benjamin one of the speakers?

So chairman McArdle’s reason for continuing to support a demonstration that is blatently pro Putin agression is because if the LP doesn’t support Putin that the pretty much unknown Code Pink will replace the LP at the event. Really? At least Code Pink demands “Russian Troop Out”. Heck that is better than the LNC position. Is anyone organizing a pool on donations to the LNC over the next 6 months? Even for fun. Down, Flat, Up by what percent?
