Chase Oliver, 37, has announced that he is a candidate for the Libertarian Party’s Presidential nomination. He has already visited Libertarian parties in 13 states in support of his nomination.
In 2022, he ran for U.S. Senate in Georgia, garnering over 80,000 votes and forcing a runoff between the Republican and Democratic candidates. In 2020 he ran for Congress in Georgia’s 5th district to complete the term of the late civil rights icon John Lewis.
During his Senate campaign, Oliver debated incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock; an empty podium was set aside for Republican opponent Herschel Walker, who declined to debate. He has appeared on PBS, CNN, Fox Business, CSPAN, WSB TV and Radio, Fox 5, 11 Alive News, Vice Media, and Reason TV. He has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone.
“I’m running to ensure the generations most affected by the decisions being made in DC are the ones making those decisions,” Oliver said.
