Libertarian National Committee Chair Angela McArdle and members of the LNC received a letter demanding McArdle’s resignation and access to relevant party documents on Thursday. The letter, which mentions potential legal action, alleges mismanagement and breaches of fiduciary duties.
The letter, addressed to McArdle and the Libertarian National Committee “on behalf of many gravely concerned Libertarians, including a current member of the LNC,” was written by Christopher LaFon of Veritas Law, along with pro bono lawyer Theodore Godfrey. Social media comments made by Liberal Party of the United States Co-founder Kevin Gaughen suggest it’s associated with a previously discussed derivative lawsuit.
“Our lawyer sent this letter to the Libertarian National Committee today demanding that Angela McArdle resign as chair or face a derivative lawsuit where we’ll ask the courts to remove her for breach of fiduciary duty,” Gaughen added on X.
According to the letter, which was first shared by Libertarian Party watchdog site Third Party Watch, demands for McArdle’s resignation are made on the basis of alleged breaches of fiduciary duties and mismanagement. The letter contends that McArdle’s actions have directly conflicted with the mission of the LNC and violated statutory and common law fiduciary duties.
Specifically, McArdle is accused of neglecting ballot access for the Libertarian Party in all fifty states, diverting resources away from electoral efforts to support unrelated causes, and exhibiting a lack of transparency in decision-making processes, among other allegations. The letter further contends that McArdle’s self-appointment as Executive Director and the retention of her domestic partner in a senior role demonstrates a conflict of interest and breach of fiduciary duty. It also criticizes her decision to leave the LNC’s headquarters empty during an election year, potentially wasting corporate assets and exposing the organization to unnecessary legal and operational risks.
The letter concludes with a demand for McArdle’s resignation and a warning of potential legal action in local courts if she fails to comply, alongside a request for prompt access to relevant documents to further explore the full scope of recent actions affecting the LNC and its members.
When contacted by Independent Political Report to ask if she wanted to comment on the allegations made in the letter, McArdle responded on Thursday evening, declining to address questions and instead replied, “Give my regards to your Luciferian Masters.”
The letter comes two months before the Libertarian National Convention planned to take place in Washington, D.C.

I read ipr. I took the quiz. I could tell you my results, but I’m a pathological liar, so that wouldn’t do you any good. Just like the pledge wouldn’t do the party any good if I join, for that same exact reason.
Things must be really haywire in Hell if Lucifer reads IPR and is joining the USLP.
Be sure to give him the quiz first.
By “Luciferian Masters,” she means Jews. She presumably picked that one up in the same sewer she found “German New Medicine.”
This is the first positive news about the Libertarian Party since the :”Caucus” takeover in 2022.
The LNC has seriously damaged the public perception of The Libertarian Party since Angela McArdle took over as chair. The LNC has joined with Communist grouplets to defend Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.
The Caucus used their takevover of the National Convention to remove The Libertarian Party from the fight to defend reproductive rights, just as it became a major issue.
The Caucus ended The LP support for liberal immigration policy just at the time that the failures of established immigration policies have become an issue.
The Libertarian National Committee has alienated thousands of active Libertarians and scared away Libertarian donors, leading to a financial emergency at the LNC, as reported here @ IPR

Angela McArdle was elected by “Mises” Caucus members who did not think Gary Johnson represented their brand of libertarianism. But now Ms McArdle seems to think that Robert F Kennedy Jr represents her brand of libertarianism.
The suit against Ms McArdle on the basis of fiduciary mismanagement is well taken. McArdle’s comments on the previous leadership were clearly slanderous, but her mismagement of the LNC is a more easily provable case.
I had previously asked McArdle for a response to an issue, and had even less luck getting an answer out of her than you did, so I did not try again.
Yay, Jordan.
Please thank Miss McArdle for the kind regards, and return Ours.
The article has been updated to include a response from McArdle to questions from Independent Political Report asking if she wanted to comment on the allegations made in the letter.
