Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein will help lead an inaugural conversation for Workers Strike Back!, an initiative of Socialist Alternative, which will focus on building a strong anti-war movement and demanding an end to ongoing conflicts in Gaza.
The event, titled “No Biden, No Trump! How can we end the genocidal war on Gaza?” will be held remotely via Zoom on July 21 and is open to members of the public who register in advance. Three featured speakers will lead the discussion, including the Green Party’s Jill Stein, former Seattle City Councilor Kshama Sawant, and Revolutionary Blackout Network founder Nick Cruse. Sawant was also the first member of the Socialist Alternative, a nationally-focused electoral organization, to be elected to public office in the United States when she won her nonpartisan city council seat in 2013.
“With two warmongers being put forward by the two parties of the billionaire class, what is the next step for workers and students looking to end the war and occupation?” reads an advertisement for the event. “And how can we build a strong enough anti-war movement to stop the flood of U.S. money fueling the Israeli war machine?”
In addition to building an anti-war movement, the Workers Strike Back! initiative also has five central demands, which include a $25-an-hour starting wage, rent control and free healthcare, union jobs for all, an end to systemic oppression, and the creation of a new party.
Notably, Stein is not listed by her Green Party affiliation but instead as a “Left independent antiwar Presidential candidate” in event advertising.

I wish Israel would strike back against these antisemitic genocidal communists. Glassing Seattle would be good for Washington state and indeed for the US as a whole, and might even make Sawant stop and think for a second.
