Green-Rainbow Party to Host Joint State Convention and Solidarity Conference in Worcester

The Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts will meet in Worcester next month for its annual state convention, followed by a public solidarity conference focused on grassroots organizing and advocacy.

According to the state party website, the joint 2025 State Convention and Solidarity Conference will take place on May 10 at the First Unitarian Church of Worcester. Registration is required for both voting delegates and general attendees, with tiered registration fees for delegates taking part in party business. The conference portion is open to the public.

The convention business meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at noon local time. During this portion, delegates will vote on officers for the coming year, consider submitted proposals, and ratify updates to the party platform. In accordance with the state party’s bylaws, delegates are selected in advance by recognized local chapters, committees, and identity caucuses, each of which may appoint an unlimited number of voting delegates.

Following the conclusion of party business, the event will transition into the afternoon solidarity conference. Former Green Party presidential nominee Dr. Jill Stein will deliver the keynote address. Organizers also plan to host informational tables and organizing discussions on topics such as civil rights, racism, immigration, militarism, and candidate development. The party is still accepting applicants, and a full list of participating organizations and presenters has not yet been announced.
