Libertarian Party of Wisconsin Elects New State Leadership

The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin has elected a new slate of officers and district representatives during its recent annual convention. Members gathered this past weekend at Treehaven UW Stevens Point in Tomahawk.

Members of the state party elected Reese Wood as their new chair during its bi-annual leadership elections. He replaces Tim Krenz, the former vice chair who had been serving as acting chair since 2024, following the party’s decision to suspend its then-chair for entering into a regional agreement without proper authorization. Aaron Kammer was elected to succeed Wood as vice chair.

Tom Patrowsky, who previously served as party secretary, was elected treasurer, replacing outgoing officer Brian Bell. Amanda Griffiths was elected as the new secretary. Delegates also elected Michael Schisel and Austin Bond to serve as at-large members on the party’s Executive Committee.

According to the state party, members also elected eight congressional district representatives and six alternates to assist with local affiliate development and organizing efforts. In order of district number, the newly elected representatives are Johnathon Hall, Phil Anderson, Bryce Thon, Kristin Walker, Michael Chianese, Amanda Wara, Justin Discher, and Tyler Danke. The elected alternates for districts one through four are Ashley Hall, Brian Bell, Robert Holzberger, and Lucas Peters. Alternates for districts six and seven are Jordan Hansen and Michael Conard.

In addition to electing new leadership, convention delegates considered amendments to the party’s Constitution and bylaws, organizers held an auction, and members participated in various social outings. The party also hosted a strategic development workshop led by Jenn Gray of Bright Path Strategies.
