The Communist Party USA is organizing an online conference in conjunction with the online newspaper People’s World this November. The event will focus on mobilizing activists around a shared vision of justice and solidarity while outlining a plan to support party development in local communities.
“The Communist Party USA is organizing an online Conference for Peace to bring together activists from every corner of the movement for democracy and justice, affirming our unity in the struggle for peace at home and abroad,” the party wrote in details shared with Independent Political Report on Monday. “We aim to forge a vision of a democratic, multilateral world that meets the needs of its people through peace, solidarity, and respect for the planet.”
The two-day event begins Thursday, November 6, with a panel discussion hosted by People’s World. The panel is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST and will feature speakers from movements outside of what the party described as the “traditional peace space,” though no names have been announced at this time. Organizers say the discussion will explore how broader social and economic justice efforts can contribute to a unified peace agenda.
The main conference session will follow on Saturday, November 8, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM EST. During that afternoon, CPUSA activists will present and finalize a formal program to act as a guiding framework for party clubs and districts. The document is intended to be both a unifying tool for anti-MAGA organizing and a practical outline for advancing the party’s work at the local level.
Both sessions will be held virtually and are expected to be open to the public. Additional details are expected in the coming months.
