The Liberal Party USA will host a virtual town hall later this month, open to supporters and the public to hear updates from national and state Liberal leaders and to discuss the party’s direction moving forward.
According to details shared by the party with Independent Political Report, the event will take place on the afternoon of August 23 and will be held over Zoom. Further details are available here. Registration is required to receive the event link, and participants are encouraged to submit respectful questions in advance or during the live Q&A. Organizers note that disruptive behavior will result in removal from the session.
Additional provided information indicates the program will open with a brief “state of the party” address from LPUSA Chair Trisha Butler, outlining recent developments at the national level. Each state chair or designated representative is then expected to give short updates on affiliate activities, with topics including ballot access efforts, candidate campaigns, podcasts, and upcoming events.
After the formal reports, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback on policy priorities and ideas for future growth. Party leaders say they aim to foster dialogue between leadership and the broader Liberal community.
This will be the party’s first national event since its inaugural December 2024 convention in Texas. A training summit was initially planned to take place in Houston this past May titled “Resist the Regime,” but the event was postponed after the venue abruptly canceled. In a statement at the time, the party said the decision followed confirmation that “pro‑immigration organization partners and advocates” had been invited.

I’ve been all over their website and there’s no mechanism to join up! They’ll take donations but there’s no mention anywhere on how to join the party and become a member. That must be a website glitch.
Thanks, Jordan. My condolences on the loss of a close family member.
It did. I had planned to cover it, but a death in my immediate family prevented me from attending. I want to confirm more before putting together a full post, but someone who attended was able to share a few minor details with me. It appears the party is considering fielding candidates, and there is some organizing activity underway in West Virginia.
Did this event actually occur?
