Green Party Lists 42 Candidates Running in November 2025 Election

The Green Party of the United States has identified 42 candidates running for state and local office on the November 4 ballot, with its Elections Database showing that a significant number are concentrated in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

According to the database as of October 28, a total of 42 candidates are seeking 49 positions, with several appearing on the ballot for more than one office. The Green Party defines its candidates as members of their state’s Green Party who are not affiliated with another political organization. Including those running in next week’s elections, Greens have contested 97 races this year across 20 states, with 32 candidates elected or re-elected so far.

As of July 1, the party listed 158 Greens serving in local office nationwide, not including an August 18 school board race in Perry, Maine, where a Green candidate won without opposition. It also reports that members have been elected 1,639 times since the national organization was established.

The list below includes all Green Party candidates identified as appearing on the November 4 general election ballot using information from the database and may not be final. Independent Political Report presents this information solely for reference and does not endorse any candidates.
