WHITNEY TO DELIVER RESPONSE TO GOVERNOR QUINN’S STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS
Carbondale, IL- Green Party gubernatorial candidate Rich Whitney will be holding a press conference tomorrow afternoon ( Wednesday, January 13th)where he will deliver a Green Party response to Governor Pat Quinn’s State of the State Address. Whitney will be joined by Charlie Howe, Green Party candidate for the State House from the 115th district. The event will be held at the Varsity Theater Intermission Room in Carbondale, Illinois and will begin at 3:30 pm. Members of the media are invited to attend.

Evidently there is a decreased vote for special elections. Also there seems to be decreased pressure to vote lesser of 2 evils hence the 6% here in a heavily republican district. & 9% in the GA election. So in MA on the 19th we can expect mid-upper single digits for the libertarian Independent. What has not been tried is GP& LP publicized vote coordination & promise of reciprocation for when there is not one or the other on the ballot. And mutual GOTV efforts & mutual voter education about The PLAS. Until these things are done it will not have been given a fair try. & Kennedy will lose.

An evident volunteerist vigilantist force of one who through politically incorrect passive aggression attempts to discourage a possible untried viable strategy to dislodge the pernicious dem-rep duopoly that has our entire country historically yoked. and that’s no joke. It is magically supposed to gain acceptance in a libertarian online community. There is no HQ, training or recruitment facility. There is only random comments on IPR which ironically fits the definition of spam/trolling. one is advised to not feed the troll police as they have a tendency to bite the hand that feeds them and are generally unpleasant company & might reproduce asexually.
Progressive Libertarian Alliance Strategy [PLAS] is a “political strategy” promoted by Robert Milnes, who was a self-proclaimed candidate for the 2008 Libertarian Party presidential nomination. Milnes did not attend the 2008 LP convention, and received zero votes there. Milnes has no record of LP activism and is not an LP member. He served prison time after pleading guilty to sending a mail threat in connection with his stalking of a TV anchorwoman, who he thought was communicating with him through on-air Freudian slips. On his web site he has described his problems with clinical depression, indigence, and eviction.
PLAS is the idea that an electoral plurality (34%) can be achieved by having Greens and Libertarians run fusion candidates/tickets rather than opposing each other on the same ballot.
PLAS is magical thinking. The LP does not command the 13%-20% of votes that poll as liberty-leaning. The GP does not command whatever percentage of votes Milnes nebulously describes as “progressive”. There is already ample evidence that running only a GP or only an LP candidate does not command anywhere near the vote percentage that Milnes fantasizes about. There is no reason to think this electoral reality would be changed by LP or GP cross-endorsements.
Milnes’s frequent promotion of “PLAS” on IPR often qualifies as trolling/spamming, and Milnes frequently berates people here who don’t acknowledge the brilliance of “PLAS”.
What is ThePLAS and why do you think Whitney needs it/them to win?
Whitney is going to lose…unless he pursues ThePLAS.
