Oregon’s Albany Democrat-Herald reports Jaynee Germond “is campaigning for Congress on a novel platform: Obey the U.S. Constitution.†The Constitution Party nominee for the state’s Fourth District U.S. House seat is the only challenger to liberal Democratic incumbent Peter DeFazio, and “without the GOP in the race, Germond says she is being supported by Republicans, at whose state convention she spoke in June. According to her, the Constitution Party is the fastest-growing in the state with 3,000 to 4,000 members.†KAJO Radio says on its website that Germond, who also has Libertarian backing, “is scheduled to appear at the Josephine County fair tomorrow and Saturday.â€

DeFazio won his last re-election 62% to 37% over a pretty well-funded Republican. Germond might get 15%, but definetly won’t win. Im glad to hear she’s getting the backing of Republicans, Libertarians, and Constitutionalists though.
Okay this person and Bob Bird stand the best change of getting elected. And maybe the CP Ohio A.G. candidate. Since the Republicans support her anyways she should try to go for Ron Paul liberals. If she heavily criticizes the Bush administration the Democrat will lose their best weapon. Of course I am sure that she is already doing that but I don’t know for sure due to media black out.
