Sara Jerome @ The Hill reports:
Former Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.) wants moderate Republicans and conservatives in Colorado to meet so they can come together to prevent divides that could lead to election losses.
Tancredo ran for governor this year against a Republican in a three-way race. Democrat John Hickenlooper wound up winning.
Tancredo said that Liberty Group leaders should meet with Republican leaders to figure out how they can work together.
hat tip to Third Party and Independent Daily

Yeah, after this, I don’t think I can support Tancredo in the future now.
I’m no big Tancredo fan, but I think the guy the Republicans chose to run for the governor’s race in Colorado was unelectable. It turned out that only a small percentage of people actually voted for him and the GOP voters overwhelmingly went to Tancredo.
@25
Carol, how am I supposed to raise 2 million for you, if I can’t use your name to help raise it?
Using your name is Moore effective…(know any Moore jokes?)
Very well, we’ll find another women’s name, and meanwhile I’ll start changing all the ads that I took out. But the web designer just finished revamping many pages, and I’m not sure when it’ll get done.
But if you know of Moore female candidates who don’t mind being run for president on a low budget operation, and who are born in the USA, 35 or older, please email me and I will take out Moore ads for their name.
Preferably a name more funny.
@ 26 CP;
Yes, we need to focus on state and local elections, I agree. And I am promoting Don Grundmann’s [Constitution] name for US Senate in 2012. I am going to try to get others to help us improve our rules, so we can have an elected “All Party System” coalition for US Senate.
We love Alaska, keep us informed on potential good candidates’ names there, and in all states.
@27
Mark, I am for all people working together, votes cast as proof. Every vote counts, including Prime Minister Grundmann and Prime Minister Nightingale’s. They are members of parliament on various levels, and I am counting their votes as equals with all other members.
MSP Markham Robinson [American Independent] is also a member, as well as MSP Diane Beall Templin [American Independent], the elected “leader” of the California American Independent Party, according to the records – votes cast as proof.
If you want to have a free vote in the parliament, I can elect you or appoint your name to a Cabinet position. Just give me the nod, and once elected, your name will qualify for the next election in our “All Party System” (and independents) voter registration drive.
Both Prime Minister Nightingale [Constitution] and Grundmann [Constitution] have done that, but we need more members. In fact we’ve just lost one Moore.
Even if you aren’t 35 it’s ok, because if you win president or vice president and you aren’t 35 or older and born in the US of American, then your name will be automatically eliminated and the next name will be automatically elected in your stead.
@28
Yes, we do have proportional representation in all states. The USA Parliament, Inc. functions in all states and territories. It doesn’t matter if the numbers of votes are small or large, the results is always perfect from the stack of ballots cast as proof. The data is easily calculated to distribute 100 “seats” mathematically perfectly every time, no matter where the voter lives, or how many voters participate.
We are like a small political party, where each independent person may self categorize as any party/category the wish, without penalty.
Except NAZI, which the ruling coalition considers to be slander/hate, so they are categorized as Anarchist Party.
I have it down, where I can distribute the seats very quickly and easily.

Yes, proportional representation would be great, but that is not the situation in any of the states that I am aware of, it remains a winner takes all system. The good news is, we don’t need 50% + 1, we just need to gain the plurality which could be below 35% in certain multi-candidate races. THAT is the current reality.
James Ogle,
I like the posting on a Free Ireland. However,
keep away from nightmare Nightingale and
Don Grundmann would be a good idea.
Sincerely, Mark Seidenberg, Vice Chairman,
American Independent Party
and by the way…
There is more to this than the race for President. No one will win that top office without massive funding, organization and name recognition. Not to mention divine ordination, as it were. Which of the “third” parties is able to do that on their own right now?
Strategically, it is better to focus on local and state races. We need to develop leadership and credibility in our own backyards first. Many “third” party people don’t participate in their local governments and have no real idea how things really work.
If you think that building coalitions is selling out, then you must live a very confined existence. One may hold fast to conviction AND work together with others on strategic issues. Open your eyes! United We Stand, Divided We (Continue to) Fall!
Stop mentioning my name unless you raise and have in the bank $2 million for my campaign!
@23
The problem with your analogy is that with 35%needed to win, that means 65% voted against the winner.

What is so frightening about building a winning coalition? The fact is political parties are about political involvement. That means seeking electoral wins. Therefore one needs at least a plurality vote, generally at least 35% or more to win. No single party commands a majority of voters. So, any candidate who really wants to win will need to reach out to others who do not share 100% the same beliefs. We need to be issues oriented alliances. That is reality. I suppose the truth can be scarey for some out there. If this is just too terrifying, perhaps politics isn’t really your interest.
#21- your viewpoint is the overwhelmingly majority viewpoint of ALL members of minor political parties.
As a member of the Constitution Party and State chairman at the convention I will not support a candidate for president that has not proven himself as loyal to both the Constitution and the Constitution Party. I would rather we remained true to our values and did not win than sell out and win. Where would that really get us?
Well, there goes the CPs apparent best hope for 2012.

Those are people who like 100-member districts enough to sign up over the years since 1995 when we started promoting the “All Party System”.
You mean, those who have not taken the time to ask you to stop using their name, including those who may not have noticed you used their name?
but can’t someone do something abt Oogle and Campbell
Can’t who do what about them?
Well, there goes the CPs apparent best hope for 2012. I think this happens all too often. Minor parties get all giddy abt someone with real name wanting to be a candaite on their line. It seems to me to go back to the old saw abt building a p-arty from the base (electing people to local office that can build up cred to eventually run for national or statewise offices).
And Milnes and his PLAS grift (which the AK CP supporter seems to have frighteningly latched onto), but can’t someone do something abt Oogle and Campbell? The posts by these two really do not do the efforts of minor, new parties any positive.
If anyone wants to carry The USA Parliament, Inc.’s ad program, we have much cooler ads than Google.com at GoNott.com.
It’s free, and you even set up your own ads. We will be adding an easy system in the Economics Ministry page soon.
We will also be adding an ad for the Libertarian National Convention, and a new system where a coalition of US Senate candidates from all parties and independents can be elected.

Gene, do not worry. Carey and I are probably much more interconnected in Colorado through the Constitution Party and the Green Party than you realize.
I myself am not familiar with the “Liberty Group”, someone else such as the author must be more familiar with them.

Carey Campbell and James Ogle: the comment thread is for a purpose – discussing the issues raised in a particular post.
Hijacking a comment thread for unrelated news items (Carey) or your own little fantasy world (James) does not impress other people, who in other circumstances might be interested in what you have to say.
Melty @11
Those names are names from the “super-state” (ss10) which includes Colorado. Those are people who like 100-member districts enough to sign up over the years since 1995 when we started promoting the “All Party System”.
Thank you for your interest! The All Party System has Constitutionalist Chelene Nightingale and Don Grundmann, and more than 150 to 250 other people are connected on the communication email list.
We’re planning for 2011, the “Central California Mini-state Parliament Election”. Everyone is welcomed to join the email list by sending the message “subscribe” to [email protected].
It’s not busy, don’t worry. And it’s pretty much the same email list that’s been going for about 15 years.
You may participate online, and you don’t have to be a resident of Central California. Right now there are ongoing self-appointments of “Ministers”, part of a 12 member Cabinet that’s forming. But we only have four nominees, and there are 12 openings.
http://www.usparliament.org/ss11-6.htm
I realize that many are not interested, particularly because they don’t live in the area, but we don’t have enough people and we’d welcome your name. You may self-categorize with any party/category you wish, and we’re working with actual party members of the Libertarian, Constitution, American Independent, Green, Environmentalist, Catholic Trotskyist…up to 100 different possible party/categories, including Independents.
Thanks for the interest. Currently I’m only getting 2 to 5 self appointments per month, so it’s slow. It’s a 100-member district, where all 100 names are elected simultaneously. It’s not a single winner district, there is no single winner in the 2011 election.
But we do need twelve full Cabinet members, that’s how we get new people. Their names automatically qualify for the 2011 ballot. It’s a good time to test market your name and/or party/category.
Plus we welcome self appointments from the entire US.

What Alaska says is right. I think there’s enuf we can agree on too. Example, reefer, Transport Search Assholes, imperial drain, mmm, and other stuff…
MMP James. You misunderstand me completely.
It says Tancredo wants Republicans “to come together to prevent divides”, yet Tancredo says this right after he himself ditched Repubs and ran Constitution Party. That’s what I’m calling hypocritical. I ain’t no party loyalist. I’m against party loyalism. That should be obvious from what I’m saying.
I don’t get why you keep putting up big lists of names irrelavant to the articles, either.
We need a grand realignment and alliance between Independents, Constitutionalists, Libertarians and like minded Greens. This is a winning strategy for the future. First though, we need to learn how to be more gracious and forgiving of one another. We are not the enemy. The enemy is that which continues to divide and immobilize us.
Honoring Our Heritage, Pioneering Our Future!
Carrie, I predict that Tom Tancredo will join the Green Party. Tom Tancredo will lead a massive Green Party conservative movement that will make major gains in Colorado and many other states in the 2012 elections.
Is that better NewFederalist?
Does anyone even try to stay on topic anymore?
@5
Melty, no, it is not hyopercritical to switch party/category. Everyone in the US of America is free and equal, and has the liberty to self-categorize with any party/category they wish (as long as slander/hate is not used, at which time there should be penalties).

Surprising Green Party news this Sunday morning from Hamburg, Germany.
Green leaders vote to end the coalition.
Just last weekend in Freiburg, Germany I spoke with Bundestag/Parliament member Krista Sager of the Green Party.
Krista had been one of four leading Greens who negotiated the Hamburg governing coalition contract. Although the Mayor/Governor had resigned, the Green coalition had held.
Sunday’s vote by Green legislators and Green state leadership at a state Green Party meeting is what prompted the need for what appears will be new elections in that German city state.

This morning’s Green Party press release explains. At this weekends Green leadership meeting, the Green Hamburg state Chairs, Board, and Green members of the city council/state legislature voted for new elections. Green Senators in the cabinet also voted yes.
All elected Green members in the Hamburg city/state legislature voted to end the current coalition.
Greens scheduled a state Hamburg Green Party membership convention for December 13, 2010.
Hamburg state Green Party leaders will ask the Green Party membership to vote for new elections.

I think he should try his luck as an independent next time.
No worries CT…could be a Republican/Constitution/Green/Free Parliamentary Liberty Coalition.
We do have very strong supporters in the SouthWest Super-state (ss10).

Thanks for the story.
This looks a little more complex that might be obvious at first glance.

“Liberty Group leaders should meet with Republican leaders”
Tancredo thinks the GOP will work to increase liberty??
Predictable. It was almost certain he’d leave the CP if he lost, and he might have left even if he won.
