the bill of rights, foreign aid and pot are jesse ventura’s game. howard stern is all about the white collar democrats and a closet libertarian, public communist. libertarians need to stop being so quick to jump on anybody’s bandwagon just because somebody has one or two points to make. libertarians need to be focusing on viewing peoples legacy’s, not weekend warriors/1%’ers/quick fixers/nor opportunists. libertarians “claim” to believe in “absolutes”= sold foundational standards and “bedrock” american values=slaves to one party principles/disconnected from all other party platforms. libertarians say “think for yourself”, but more often then not they think ABOUT themselves void of anybody else. libertarians, if they had control over the government, would probably give us a nazi/jewish fascist regime and the middle class would vanish into a new version of slavery. most americans WANT a libertarian government, but wouldn’t know what to do once we got our own way! just like when old sex-obcessed rap group 2 live crew won their 1st amendment case against censorship of sales of ther records in broward county florida and america in their day, which was a great victory, but still left a tiny empty feeling inside..like..o.k., whats next? we americans love a good hard fight, but most of us would not know what to do if we finally got our country back. probably return to same old standard hippy/yuppy/corporate bullswill like it was after lincoln s assassination, or even like what happened after the roaring 1920’s fell apart in the early 1930’s . the only way america will ever work like this is when people accept structure I.E. family is family, work is work and friends are an after-thought=nuclear family values! but i ask…whom has the iron integrity to follow through with this idea from birth to death?! hmmmm? rand paul and ron paul ARE OUR ONLY HOPE! all others are gum bumpers and/or too self-centered for the job!
Some times, it is not the question who is the best candidate that can reform and bringing solutions, but to give a firm and strong message to all, and shake them awake. Choose a independend there will be no chances at all, but the people have made there point, that they watching u.
Vote for jesse and break political nonsens.
Gov. Ventura has won a major election running as a third-party candidate, which alone should make him a credible potential LP nominee.
Ventura comes across as more genuine than Barr or Johnson. He’d get alot of votes (if Johnson got 1 million+, Ventura could get 3) but he’d be ridiculed alot for his eccentricity. If the LP could convince him to run….it’s hard to think of a better candidate. He’s definitely not a hard libertarian though.
The dude’s got alot of flaws but his public persona seems sincere and people are drawn to sincerity.
Could Jesse be worse than Bob Barr? Jesse is both more libertarian than Barr and more likely to actually win a national election than Barr.
I take issue with a couple of Jesse’s stated ideas–such as his lefty-lifted notion that corporations shouldn’t be allowed to put out political literature because the First Amendment was intended only for people–but I would support Jesse’s candidacy if he actually pursued it.
I think I could educate Jesse on this First Amendment issue fairly quickly. In any case, the man has balls and deserves the LP’s support if he wades into the race.
Ventura makes lots of valid points, but they are overshadowed by his crazy talk.
As for running for POTUS…. Ain’t nobody gonna get him on the ballot in 50 states. Ain’t nobody gonna do it in even 30 states if he puts it out there as a demand before he will consider running. He probably could pull off a decent third party campaign if he really wanted to. But, by the way he talks, it is clear that he does not.

Stern cannot be trusted, in political office. May he continue to prosper while practicing freedom of speech; without the opportunity for him to take it away from the rest of us.
Howard Stern has too much dirt on him. He had a segment on his show where he had a beauty pagent of transsexuals. They were asked to flash their fake breasts and male genitals. The panel of judges for the contest included a retard who gave all the men a 10. It was disgusting and surely disqualifies him to be vice president.
Howard Stern was the single most destructive force ever in LPNY.
He made a mockery of us, and it took a dozen years to recover.
He is a statist pig. He good friends are Al D’Amato and George Pataki.
I really don’t see why anybody takes Ventura seriously. I see him in the same light as Donald Trump… big ego, shameless self promoter and just loving it when there is a TV camera in the area before which to stand.
Howard Stern already wasted the Libertarian Party’s time in 1994, running for Governor of New York. He only ran with the LP because he knew it was easier to succeed in than the Republicrats (Wayne Root syndrome). Stern dropped out anyway, and endorsed f’n George Pataki. If he comes back to the LP, they need to tell him to piss off.
Jesse said just three minutes into the video that he’ll run if he’ll be on all 50 ballots. So, as we’ve discussed here before, it makes me wonder if he’s really serious about running. He wants other people to do all the hard work.
He does say some things that many Libertarians might agree with:
1. We should stop all foreign aid (around 7 minutes);
2. Whistleblowers are heroes;
3. He’d take Ron Paul’s position to close all foreign bases;
4. He believes in open borders. Also, he said that he should be able to hire who he wants to.
A Ventura/Stern presidential ticket? I’d say definitely no to that!
I would like to support Jesse but he’s all talk and he reveals himself to be a bit of a hypocrite. I love Howard Stern and his program but, politically speaking, he’s a statist. He loves Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg.
Philosophically he’s not fit for any liberty movement and it makes a mockery of what Jesse claims to stand for.
