Nearly one year after his joint effort with Gov. Gary Johnson to offer an alternative and experienced ticket for president and vice president, Gov. Bill Weld is beginning to establish a more active political voice.
Weld, for example, recently joined the Honorary Board of the Our America Initiative, the nonprofit advocacy organization led by Johnson, the governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003. Weld has also begun putting forth his views as a featured writer for The Jack News.

I have no xenophobic (I don’t oppose the mass immigration agenda because I dislike people from foreign countries, I oppose it due to the ideology of those involved, as in those who are creating and manipulating the situation for their political gain, as well as the political ideologies of a super-majority of the immigrants, who, the statistics indicate, are hostile to libertarianism; but I have no problem with pro-liberty immigrants from anywhere) , alt-right bubble to burst, since I am neither. I am a hardcore libertarian, something which you don’t understand, which probably explains your confusion.
I see no evidence that Bill Weld would be a favorite for the LP. Most of the people whom I have talked to about Weld, don’t care for him, and this includes people who still have a positive opinion of Gary Johnson. Bill Weld barely won the VP nomination, as he only got 50.5% of the vote at the Libertarian National Convention, and this was after the Johnson campaign spent 10 times as much money getting the nomination than all of the other candidates for the nomination spent combined, and after Johnson came out and begged the delegates to nominate Weld, even going so far as saying that he’d drop out of the race if the delegates did not give him Weld, and then, even with a convention floor that the Johnson campaign had stacked with delegates, Weld still barely won the nomination.
Post convention, Weld got on TV and embarrassed the LP multiple times, going so far as gushing over Hillary Clinton on multiple occasions.
Almost all of the feedback I’ve gotten from the general public about Bill Weld has been negative, the only exceptions being feedback from people who are not remotely libertarian, and who would not normally consider voting for any libertarian candidate for anything, including somebody like Ron Paul running in the Republican Party.
There really is not any demand for Bill Weld to run for President from anyone who is actually a supporter of liberty.
If Weld does announce for the nomination, all his opponents need to to is to put together videos of Weld praising Hillary Clinton and making other anti-libertarian statements, such as his stance on gun rights, and this could be enough to torpedo his campaign.

Yes, and big reasons for this was the people who supported those candidates stacking the convention floor, and making bullshit promises at the conventions that they could not and did not keep (like outrageous claims about fundraising, etc…. Those who want the party to start running candidates who are actually libertarians on the LP’s presidential ticket again need to get serious about getting off of their asses and getting to the conventions.
2020 is still a long time from now, but I know that Adam Kokesh is already campaigning around the nation and compiling lists of supporters.
I don’t know who else is going to jump in the race, but I see no real demand for Bill Weld to be on the presidential ticket in 2020. The general consensus from the libertarian community, and the general public who knows who Weld is, is that it was a mistake for the LP to put Weld on its ticket. I doubt that it is going to happen again.

I seriously doubt Bill Weld stands a legitimate chance of getting on the LP’s presidential ticket again. The people who want to subvert the LP will have to find somebody else.
Good. So there’s a sliver of a chance I could vote for an LP candidate again.
