Minister indicates write-in House campaign ‘ain’t gonna happen’

The Abilene Reporter says minister Floyd Crider, a write-in candidate for the 11th District U.S. House seat in Texas, “will suspend his congressional campaign until 2010 if he hasn’t raised at least $100,000 by July 25, he said. And it ‘ain’t gonna happen,’ Crider said Thursday.” Crider “said he would need $400,000 more before the Nov. 4 election to challenge” Republican Rep. Mike Conaway. Libertarian John Strohm is also in the race; there is no Democratic candidate.
