Libertarian enters Pennsylvania state senate race

The Intelligencer reports that Libertarian Barbara Steever has entered the special election race for the 24th District state senate seat in Pennsylvania. The election will be held on September 29. Steever said, “I, like many other average citizens, want to have a voice in what is going on in our government and this was an opportunity.” It is her first campaign for public office.

I have known Barbara for a short time through the National Animal Identification System. And all through her dislike of this program she has never backed down on her issues with it. It would be hove people to take a very close look at her and what she stands for which is her constitutional and bill of rights to be up held and that means your rights.

Everybody always complains that the same old people get voted back in well here is a chance to vote them out and put in a new face to protect your rights which are being so freely given away.

We here at Third Party Revolution endorse Barbara Steever in her campaign for Pennsylvania State Senate District 24, along with many other third party and independent candidates seeking public offices nation-wide, ranging from local to federal levels.

That’s right near where I used to go to camp.

This is probably a safe Republican district which will make a Libertarian presence largely irrelevant. Maybe the LP should target “toss-up” districts where an appeal to one side or the other has real possibilities of at least wringing some sort of concessions from the side likely to be hurt the most.

I wouldn’t make any particular note of a Libertarian being a former Democrat. The people who work for “the media” want to avoid defections from their favored political group and (in my opinion) will continue to call Libertarians closet Republicans until (and past) when the US dollar collapses.

I would hope the LP would take the opportunity to make a big deal about this person being a converted Democrat. It seems the media thinks Libertarians would all be Republicans if there were no LP.
