Well, maybe not D.C. The black vote skews the situation as Obama was told by the Massachusetts Mischief & Mayhem Makers.

Lonegan is a bigoted nationalist who would be better served under the Consitution Party banner. To suggest that he is anything close to a libertarian is an insult to libertarians everywhere.

I hate that the term ‘libertarian’ has become in vogue for anyone who doesn’t like the government (think Glenn Beck, etc.). Libertarian philosophy requires an incredible respect for individual liberty that would never allow room for close-minded social views (such as the anti-immigrant crowd, the anti-gay marriage crowd, the anti-legalization of drugs crowd, etc.)

Ross Levin, the progressive and libertarian vote in every state & D.C. adds up to 40%.

paulie, I know. You are also talking (detracting)about me in the same thread.

paulie, I scored 100% with Outright. They might take exception to your detractions. & I support peta. I wonder how they feel about a depiction of a purple creature with a detached ass.

What is the “real libertarian” doing in the GOP primary? Taking after Ronulan Paulnut?

Further checking with wikipedia shows that he actually tried to stop the Spanish language advertisements by referendum.

His website shows that he is a pro-life “family values” conservative who wants stricter enforcement of anti-immigrant restrictions.

So, obviously, I think the NJLP should run someone against him if he were to be the Republican candidate.

Leymann Feldenstein, who is a NJ resident, recently wrote this about Lonegan

I suspect this year alot of NJLP’ers are supporting paleoconservative throwback and neoDixiecrat Steve Lonegan in the GOP primary. Lonegan’s claim to fame is organizing a boycott of McDonalds a few years ago for advertising in Spanish, and he’s become the favorite of closet Klansmen, homophobes and social reactionaries who, unfortunately, have come to typify many Republican Liberty Caucus and LP candidates in recent years.

Doesn’t sound like a libertarian at all – not even close.

Yeah? How about his social views?

The real libertarian is already in the race. His name is Steve Lonegan. He’s fighting Chris Christie in the GOP primary.

I’ve seen Lonegan at Americans for Prosperity summits for the past two years. His fiscal credentials are very libertarian.

I know IPR is not lpnj xcomm. I’m not going to go to them begging only to get kicked to the curb. I’ll rely on one of my detractors to lol this at them or one of the grassroots supporters to take it to them.

    You’ll probably remain waiting, then.

  19. Ross Levin April 22, 2009

I didn’t know that the Green and Lib vote in NJ adds up to 40%…

  20. paulie April 22, 2009

We aren’t the NJLP exec comm. They may or may not read our site. You should talk to them directly if you wish to be considered.

Nominate me & I will immediately declare endorsement & pursuit of the Progressive Libertarian Alliance & strategy. & I would expect total party support & I would request the Green party to not run a candidate to compete for the inclusive progressive & libertarian vote bloc of 40%. There is a new position of Lt. Governor also. Nominate a woman Libertarian Lt. Gov. & you will have a fusion ticket. Just saying…
