John Wayne Smith reports
In November 14, 2010 the Libertarian Party of Florida endorsed the efforts to have the 2012 National Libertarian Party Convention in Dallas, Texas
p} I don’t have the text of that one yet..
That’s an urban dictionary gold mine, or land mine, depending on how you look at it…lol
Works for me, Hot Tip!
If you pass a resolution, your press release headline should be
Libertarians say give Root the shaft for being an ass so as to avoid Republican taint
California meets that same weekend (December 4th).
@5
Massachusetts just heard about it. Our next State Committee meeting is December 5.

Let’s hope cooler heads prevail.
This FL resolution is IMO highly disingenuous. Root has said these sort of things before; lots of Ls agree with him; this was a city magazine.
Much ado about nothing.
I don’t think so. Paulie, and there isn’t a lot of time to work on one for California. I’ll at least email my rep.
Based on LNC discussion to date, the resolution has been brought to the attention of the LNC but there appears to be only opposition to discussing it.
I’m betting against it, but you never know. Do you know of any other states that have passed such a resolution?
So, is there any hope the National Committee will discuss the Florida resolution and consider at least trying to reign in Root?
The agenda at http://www.lp.org/blogs/staff/lnc-meeting-proposed-agenda-new-orleans-nov-20-21 says it will be frequently updated, so keep checking there for other stuff that may or may not be added. Those changes won’t necessarily be made to the IPR article.
One or more other LNC members requested the addition of one or more other items to the agenda, and these were not added.
Everyone concerned that the proposed convention date of Memorial Day 2012 is too late needs to contact their Regional Rep and At Large Reps to make a case for an earlier convention.
