From Jill Stein’s website:
Jill Stein for President is extremely pleased to welcome Anthony Prince and Erika Wolf to Jill Stein’s 2012 Green Party presidential campaign staff.
Prince, a lifelong labor organizer and labor attorney will serve as Associate Campaign Manager, and will have primary oversight of the campaign’s ballot access drive.
Wolf, an experienced and well-connected student organizer will serve as National Field Director, and be responsible for building the campaign’s general field operations and grassroots fundraising activities.
Ben Manski, Campaign Manager, said that, “This is another wakeup call that this campaign is bringing together some of the best, brightest and most dedicated activists around.”
Dr. Stein calls the news of these hires “a breakthrough,” adding that, “Erika Wolf and Anthony Prince bring incredible dynamism and expertise to our team, and I am deeply honored that they have committed themselves to this task.”
Anthony Prince of Chicago brings over forty years of labor organizing in a wide variety of positions with the Steelworkers, Teamsters, National Treasury Employees Union, SEIU and IFPTE. He was elected to his first union position at the age of 17 as Chief Shop Steward with Teamsters Local 986 in Vernon, California.
In addition to his labor organizing experience, Prince has also worked on a wide variety of independent and reform election campaigns, and is a practicing lawyer and officer of the National Lawyers Guild. He has joined the campaign as Associate Campaign Manager.
Erika Wolf, originally of Ohio, has been a leader in the Wisconsin uprising since she helped organize the occupation of that state’s capitol building. Wolf joined the antiwar movement in late 2001 as a high school student activist. Since then she has become one of the leading figures and inspirations in the national student movement, having organized grassroots advocacy and voter engagement campaigns around the country.
Wolf currently provides mentorship to over one hundred students and recent graduates through the United States Student Association, United Students Against Sweatshops, Students for a Democratic Society, and the United Council of UW Students. She has joined the campaign as National Field Director.
Wolf and Prince will work out of the national campaign headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin.
