Below is an e-mail from Virgil Goode updating his recent campaign activity:
Last week Constitution Party Presidential Candidate,Virgil Goode, held rallies in several different states and also met with Constitution Party leaders. In Phoenix, Arizona, Congressman Goode had the honor of meeting with Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has received national recognition for his willingness to enforce the law against illegal aliens. Goode and Sheriff Arpaio met for an hour and discussed the ways to deal with illegal immigration and to cut government spending. Sheriff Arpaio has utilized several common sense measures to reduce the costs of his office to Phoenix taxpayers. He also shared information about his private investigation Cold Case Team and the questions about the validity of President Obama’s birth certificate displayed on the Internet. In New Mexico, Congressman Goode visited with Constitution Party chairman Patrick McKinney. Goode left literature with McKinney and they talked about getting out the vote and campaign strategy for New Mexico in September and October. Chairman McKinney has recently completed filing the elector information for the Goode/Clymer ticket.

Oops, I meant Kentucky.
@9 the deadline in KS has already passed (over a month ago). Johnson is on the ballot already because the LP is ballot qualified.
Stein turned in a petition but turned it in a couple hours late.
THAT HEADQUARTERS IS RUN BY THE THREE STOOGES
CP does pay for petitions, but on average less than LP or Greens.
I am afraid the CP will never become significant until they can mount serious ballot access campaigns with paid petitioners in addition to volunteers. Volunteer drives usually don’t qualify. Petitioning is tough. Loads of rejection and generally from people who are clueless. Without the funding to pay top notch people to gather signatures there is really no hope.
I spoke to Mark Hubler, chairman of the CP of Arizona , today. He said there most certainly WAS a ballot drive in Arizona for ballot access for this fall. But the number of Arizona volunteers willing to collect signatures was small. I believe the number of signatures needed is around 30k, a very high number to get without a very large team of volunteers and/or big financial donors. The deadline to submit the signatures was some time in February 2012, if I remember correctly, so the best that can be done now is to make sure Virgil Goode will be an official write-in candidate. Mr. Hubler is working now to file the paperwork for this. CP National has wanted to help financially, but says it has been unable to because of flagging donations during this down time in the economy. Many if not most of the states with ballot access have had financial help from CP National at some point, if I understand correctly. I know Mr. Hubler has given sacrificially to the CPAZ of both his time and his money, and he welcomes financial help from all who read this (to donate, please go to http://azconstitutionparty.com/). He also welcomes volunteer help collecting signatures from all Arizona residents reading this for the next petition drive for the 2014 election. To volunteer, please go to http://azconstitutionparty.com/ and sign up for our email list.
@14… I thought Alaska was already lost because the Alaskan Independence Party decided NOT to run any candidates this year. I am unaware of any effort by the CP of AK to gain ballot access.
I hope the CP gets their electoral college threshold met. It is going to be very hard to be taken seriously when people use your ballot as a protest vote.
I have found Jill Stein’s website to be less than truthful or timely. I know she tried to get on in Missouri, but I have not heard anything about how that turned out.
How many signatures were submitted in each state? They are all past deadline http://www.ballot-access.org/2012/07/30/july-2012-ballot-access-news-print-edition/
New Hampshire, Alaksa, and Delware are still possible for Goode.

8 electors in LA
So that would be 266………4 more?
Goode will be on the ballot in Louisiana, provided he can find 7 elector candidates and $500 in the next 11 days.

“Goode is on in Florida, and since it appears no one challenged him in New York, he still has a chance to be on the ballot in states with an electoral college majority.”
According to the link I posted @7 Goode is on for 232 which includes NY, and to my knowledge he is still only going for 26 more (AL 9, KY8, NE 5, RI 4); so best cast 258. Where does he get 12 more?
Stein’s page shows she made it in MT. Actually she failed due to low validity.
http://www.lp.org/2012-ballot-access
Johnson is now petitioning only in Kansas, Alabama and Rhode Island.
40 states in the bag (although Iowa is now being challenged, so actually 39).
CT, DC, NH, PA, NY and VA are in validation/challenge stage.
OK and MI in litigation.
Stein’s page should be updated. Most of the 14 states where she is supposedly still trying to petition are past deadline.

Remaining states where CP is not on and is still petitioning:
Alabama, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Nebraska
Any others?
“On election day, Baldwin was on ballot in 37 states.[33] He was a write-in candidate in eleven additional states including Montana where Ron Paul was listed as the party’s nominee. Baldwin was completely absent from ballots in Oklahoma, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.[1]“
Steven @4, you can track Stein’s progress here. They are on the ballot in 32 states plus the District of Columbia, and are still attempting to get on in 14 more. They’ve only given up in four states, in three of which they’ll appear as write-ins (and the other one is Oklahoma, so no surprises there).
Goode is on in Florida, and since it appears no one challenged him in New York, he still has a chance to be on the ballot in states with an electoral college majority. There are still some outstanding unknowns around the nation.
I have two questions.
1. Is Virgil Goode on the ballot in California, Texas, and Florida?
2. What is the latest on Jill Stein and her ballot access drive?
I haven’t heard anything from Stein in about two weeks. I was told that Goode may not be electable within the electoral college.
Thanks.
That is what the AZ chairman said. It’s a shame, because they need to be on the ballot in Arizona to be able to reach 270 electoral votes. They would need to get 31,000 signatures by September 8 though. Unfortunately, there’s been no effort made in that direction, and at this juncture, it’s kind of late.
I am assuming Goode is a write-in in Arizona. It does not appear the CP even tried a ballot drive in AZ.
Goode 2012 sounds so much like Buchanan 2000.
