Socialist Party USA Celebrates 40th Anniversary

On May 26th, 1973, the modern Socialist Party USA was founded, which continues to be active to this day. As of 2012, party membership hovers around 1,500. The SPUSA released a commemorative 40th anniversary journal on May 31st, 2013.  This eleven page journal, soon to be published as a hard copy, chronicles the party’s history.

    Perhaps Darcy could explain to those of us who don’t know the history of the Socialist Party as to why this is the 40th anniversary and not the 113th or whatever.
