The Late Show with Stephen Colbert skewered Gary Johnson for seven minutes last night.
“Libertarians have long been waiting for a smart, respectable candidate to represent their values . . . and the wait continues.”

When the history of the LP is written 200 years from now, I’d expect this to be cited as the moment the tipping point tipped toward the LP being A) recognized as a real threat to the two old parties and 2) to which they openly responded.
Not that funny (although there were a couple of moments) and, IMO, a shrill, artless, advocacy for HRC.
Colbert is a partisan Democrat. Political hacks and cronies are getting smart to the notion that Libertarian candidates have the capability of “stealing” votes from Democrats fed up with the system. The last race for governor in VA was proof of this. This becomes even stronger in a race where the Democrats have offered up their most despised candidate, possibly in history.
Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are statist buffoons who have no business being candidates for the Libertarian Party at all.
Just being mentioned by Colbert is beneficial — his job is skewering people, so it doesn’t really matter WHAT he says.
Here’s Gary Johnson making an ass out of himself on national television, AGAIN.
And some Libertarians were calling this clown the “adult in the room”. What a joke!

Excellent. Someone in the news/entertainment world is talking about us. And for 7 minutes.
If you think we were going to be able to avoid this, you’ve been living under a rock for 40 years and have never heard of Saturday Night Live.
I love a good roasting. This was stupid
But I am thrilled they are talking about us.
This guy’s top video is better. I love it.

A rare moment when I agree with Darth Andy. The tongue thing with Kasie Hunt was worse than any “Aleppo moment.”
However, being mentioned by Colbert reaches most ears than all other prior LP POTUS candidates combined.
Agreed with Thomas.
Now that it has been proven that Gary Johnson takes more support from HRC then Trump -Colbert and the MSM are going to start attacking & smearing Gary.
While there’s much to criticize with the awful Johnson campaign, it’s important to remember that the media hacks have one goal: protect The Queen at all costs.
T Rex, Johnson and Weld are certainly making their job easier in that regard with all of the material they are providing them.
Touche.
“Libertarians have long been waiting for a smart, respectable candidate to represent their values .”
Nope…no reason to seek respect from something that deserves no respect. Hollywood for the ugly commands respect only through mass police power, security organs, guns, lots and lots of guns…just like any other two-bit authoritarian regime.
T Rex: “While there’s much to criticize with the awful Johnson campaign, it’s important to remember that the media hacks have one goal: protect The Queen at all costs.”
Andy: “T Rex, Johnson and Weld are certainly making their job easier in that regard with all of the material they are providing them.”
Actually, most of the material the Clintonistas – Salon, Alternet, Paul Krugman, Rolling Stone, Bill Maher, and the Priorities USA and NextGen PACs – are finding and using to discredit Johnson is coming directly from the Libertarian platform.
Here is the latest from “Gaffe Prone” Gary.
Gary Johnson reportedly once asked an aide: ‘Who’s Harriet Tubman?’

Not even close.
