Joe is a retired, formerly tenured professor of marketing and finance with an interest in adventure travel, chasing total solar eclipses, and Burning Man. He is a long-time volunteer with the Sundance Film Festival, former Chair of the Utah Libertarian Party and current Chair of the financial Audit Committee of the Libertarian Party. He and Cindy, his wife of over 25 years, have raised four highly successful children, several cats, and have generally failed with every houseplant ever gifted to them.

Former Libertarian Party of Iowa Chair Arrested, Charged With Theft of Party Property

Multiple media outlets, including the Libertarian Party of Iowa website, have reported the arrest of Michael Conner Junior, a former LP IA Chair, who has apparently been charged with theft of Party assets in excess of $10,000.

Libertarian Party Born @ 3:34pm Mountain Time, 11 Dec 1971; 50 Years Ago Today


The Libertarian Party of the United States turned 50 years old earlier today.

On 11 December 1971 eight individuals met in Colorado Springs, CO and at 3:34pm Mountain Time declared the establishment of a new political party.

The Party’s first convention would be held only 187 days later.

LP Delaware Withdraws From Region 5, Appeals “Constructive Disaffiliation” To LP Judicial Committee

Since early October 2021, two groups have each claimed to be the only legitimate Libertarian Party of Delaware; one chaired by Will McVay, the other by Bill Hinds.

On 06 October 2021 one group a letter to the LNC stating in part:

Center for Competitive Democracy Files Petition re – FEC $175,000+ “Repayment” Demand Against GP’s Jill Stein

A 07 Dec 2021 Media Release from the Center for Competitive Democracy (CDC) states:

“Nearly five years after the 2016 presidential election — the FEC notified Dr. (Jill) Stein that she and her campaign committee must repay $175,272 in primary matching funds received during that election. The Stein Campaign spent the funds on petition drives to obtain ballot access nationwide — activity that the FEC itself identifies as equivalent to a primary election — but the FEC nevertheless concluded that the expenditures were not qualified primary expenses.… Read more ...

As reproduced below, Jamie Timmie, Senior Campaign Finance Analyst with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) in a letter dated 20 October 2021, states:

“Your report(s) was not signed by the Treasurer,”

and directs Kyle Burton, the (former?) Treasurer of the MISES PAC to provide the following:
