Jesse Ventura Says He’ll Write-in Himself for President

Former professional wrestler Jesse Ventura, who was elected Governor of Minnesota as a member of the Reform Party in 1998 and who recently joined the Green Party, said in an interview last week with Primo Nutmeg that he will write-in his own name for president on Election Day.

Ventura officially joined the Green Party last month and “tested the waters” for a presidential run. He ultimately decided not to run and said he would support the Green Party’s candidates.

The Green Party selects its presidential nominee on July 11.  According to Wikipedia, union leader and Green Party co-founder Howie Hawkins has 173 delegates out of the necessary 189 delegates required for the nomination.

So it looks like Jesse will get only one vote. That is what he deserves.
