I was listening to 92.3 HD 2 (The Saints Channel) today at work and they mentioned Joseph Smith’s campaign for president. Looking at the Wikipedia article is appears that he ran in 1844 affiliated with the Reform Party (using the Wikipedia terminology).

I am not now and never have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints nor have my parents ever been members.
