News & Notes: Yang Walks Back Joe Rogan Tweet, Common Sense Party Falls Short in California

COMMON SENSE FAILS TO QUALIFY: The moderate Common Sense Party has 30,882 registrants in California, an impressive increase over the past several months but far short of what was needed to become a “qualified” party in the eyes of the state.

YANG STEPS INTO ROGAN CONTROVERSY: Forward Party founder Andrew Yang attracted some blowback on Twitter the other day when he suggested that popular podcast host Joe Rogan wasn’t a racist because “the man interacts with and works with black people literally all of the time.” He quickly deleted the tweet and clarified his feelings:

PACIFIC GREENS CANCEL CALL: The Pacific Green Party of Oregon has cancelled their ambitious 2022 Campaign Skills Share “due to unexpected circumstances.”
