Region 1 Alternate Becky Jones has resigned from the LNC. Her message is reshared below:
I am resigning from my role as region 1 alt. I’m in a situation with my family that will require most of my time, energy and focus for the foreseeable future.
I also do not believe my efforts will end up contributing much to right this ship. I’m my brief time with the LNC- I have been frustrated with the lack of progress and constant bickering back and forth. I am acutely aware that I don’t have much historical context or “inside baseball” info of what’s happened with the LNC since Reno- but we have such an incredible uphill fight to liberty that the blame game and gossip shouldn’t even be on the radar. I know many region 1 state chairs feel the same way. No one has enough time for this much drama- especially when it gets us nowhere.
Our real enemy is not each other and I hope the LNC can put aside their personal differences and actually provide value to its members.
I wish you well in future endeavors.
Becky Jones
LNC Members Kathy Yeniscavitch, Caryn Ann Harlos, and Mark Tuniewicz promptly posted messages regretting her departure.

How many does that make this term? I may be remembering this wrong but I don’t remember this many lnc resignations or this much staff turnover before, much less this many disputed state party leadership situations at the same time. Maybe ideologically driven factional takeovers and operational competence don’t go together? Maybe it’s a price worth paying in some situations, but that should be taken into account. Also, Angela hiring her baby daddy looks kinda shady even if he’s the best man for the job. Hopefully he is and that’s why she hired him but it’s still not a good look. If I had money to donate I wouldn’t give them any until at least whenever they fix all their operating problems, even though I sympathize with their criticisms of previous leadership.
That’s if I thought the minor political party strategy is still a good one for an ideological political movement, and I’m increasingly of the opinion that it’s played out and other approaches will work better going forward. I realize that’s somewhat against the premise of this site, although I’m still all for nonpartisan candidates. If you’re open to an opinion piece about why I think that about the minor party approach I might send you one.
