No Labels, the centrist political movement weighing whether or not it will field a bipartisan presidential ticket in the 2024 election cycle, announced on Monday that it has achieved ballot access in ten states. Notably, the No Labels movement most recently won ballot access victories in North Carolina and Arizona.
In North Carlina, No Labels secured ballot access after the State Board of Elections voted 4 – 1 on Sunday to formally recognize the organization as a political party operating within the state. According to local North Carolina media, No Labels collected 14,827 valid signatures from registered North Carolina voters, putting them over the required 13,865 the state looks for when determining political parties. It also satisfied the requirement to deliver at least 200 signatures from three congressional districts.
Alternatively, in Arizona, No Labels was successful in surviving an effort by state Democrats to have it removed from the ballot entirely. Last Monday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Katherine Cooper rejected a lawsuit by the Arizona Democratic Party that claimed the initial filing paperwork submitted by No Labels organizers was incomplete. The challenge came after No Labels was formally recognized by the Arizona Secretary of State earlier this year.
However, while the No Labels movement was successful in fending off the challenge, Arizona Democrats could still potentially refile the lawsuit with new arguments.
“The No Labels movement has achieved a significant milestone, winning ballot access in 10 states,” National Co-Chair of No Labels Dr. Benjamin J. Chavis is quoted as saying in Monday afternoon’s press release. “This is a historic victory for Americans who have said loud and clear they want more choices at the ballot box. The spirit of democracy is winning in America today.”
In addition to North Carolina and Arizona, No Labels has secured ballot access in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, and Utah. Readers of Independent Political Report can access a full copy of the press release here.

Yes, thank you Jordan for great coverage on this. It would be really nice feature if IPR could post maps that get updated as applicable showing ballot access achieved to date for all the current viable 3rd party efforts (e.g. Libertarian, Green, No Labels, American Solidarity, Constitution, Alliance etc.)
Great coverage! Good work, Jordan!
