Note Addendum on numbers.
Libertarian National Committee Financial and Membership Reports have recently become very late. However, the Treasurer on September 26 filed the end-of-July report, which includes a graph of National Party memberships at the end of each month for some years previous. Membership at the end of June was 13,620. Membership at the end of July was about (read off graph) 11,900-12,000. That’s a fall of 1600-1700, close to 12%, in one month. In addition, I am seeing complaints from former life members that they had recently resigned their life membership, and the resignation did not appear to have been counted.
ADDENDUM: The LNC has now filed the August membership report and noted that extensive additional corrections on numbers. With the corrections, national party sustaining memberships in the August report stand at 12728, down not quite 900 from the previous month.

Well, this seems to be what the kiddie crew wanted, besides the graft. Their Republicrat buddies have likely been buying them drinks and slapping their backs over this one. Here’s hoping that the next convention comes with a serious course correction that includes the current clown show being tossed into the alley.
The membership reports may not be accurate, but the FEC reports are, and the FEC reports corroborate a substantial decline.
These membership reports aren’t accurate and will be amended. But that might be a bigger problem than “membership crash”.
